Past Collaborations

Team Up Programs

The Trawick Foundation mantra is “Keep students connected… to peers…to educational opportunities…to caring adults… to community.”

To this end, the Foundation TeamUp grant program encouraged schools and nonprofits to work in partnership with each other and school staff to maximize the utilization of their resources.  The Foundation funded innovative projects with strategies that were integrated with the school curriculum, with the intent to meet the needs of youth in a holistic manner.  A $150,000 grant with 2 option years was awarded annually to a single team composed of one school and three or more Montgomery County based nonprofits.

Youth In Transition

In 2010, recognizing the unique challenges facing young people transitioning to adulthood, the Foundation awarded its first “Youth In Transition” (YIT) grant.

This $200,000 grant funded a project designed to benefit youth ages 16-24, who were transitioning out of foster care, juvenile justice systems and social services, or those youth with disabilities.

Co-Occupany Program

The Co-Occupancy Program was for small or emerging nonprofits involved in the arts or health and human services.

The grant provided stable and affordable space for Montgomery County nonprofits, which also allowed for efficiency and collaboration at the Trawick Foundation offices.
