The Jim and Carol Trawick Foundation assists local health and human service and arts non-profit organizations in Montgomery County, Md. The Foundation awards grants for specific projects that will make a demonstrable impact on the local community by reaching people in need and encouraging and sustaining creative activities. Preference will be given to innovative approaches and programs.


The Trawick Foundation is shifting the Fall 2010 grant making budget to a “proposal by invitation only” grant cycle. The Youth in Transition Invitational is already in process and is NOT part of this solicitation.

Through this invitation only process, the Trawick Foundation will be identifying specific nonprofit organizations and inviting them via letters to submit grant requests for the Fall 2010 Grant Cycle rather than accepting unsolicited applications. We believe this approach will allow us to focus on a narrow set of priorities and be more effective in our use of grant dollars.

These grants will be awarded on a competitive basis and will require a Letter of Interest first.
