The Jim and Carol Trawick Foundation requires non-profit organizations requesting consideration for grants to send a Letter of Interest (LOI) prior to submitting a full grant proposal in order to save organizations time, effort and the expense of developing a full proposal. We encourage you to submit your LOI's as early as possible to allow ample time for the Foundation to review and provide feedback to you. LOI's will be reviewed within two weeks of receipt to determine if the proposed activities align with the Foundation's grant-making interests and priorities. If the proposed project merits further in-depth consideration for funding, the applicant will be encouraged to submit a full proposal. If you are invited to submit a full proposal, you will be asked to describe how the proposed program/project will result in improved services, increased impact, and benefits to the community. The Letter of Interest should be no more than two-three typewritten pages and include the following:

LOI's must be received in the Foundation offices by the due date. The date of the postmark will NOT be considered. In fairness to all applicants, deadlines will be strictly enforced. NOTE: The Foundation hours of business are Monday - Thursday from 10 AM to 4 PM. The offices are only accessible during these hours.
If the Letter of Interest is accepted by the Foundation, the requesting organization will then be notified to submit a complete proposal. Grant proposals must be accompanied by the Grant Application Cover Sheet, which can be downloaded here. A Microsoft Word file of the application is also available by clicking here. Please feel free to use an additional page if there is insufficient space on the form. A complete proposal narrative (no more than 8 pages) should contain the following:

If the proposal is funded, the Trawick Foundation will require a signed Grant Agreement letter obligating the grantee to provide a six-month interim written report and a final written report within sixty days of the end of the grant. For this final report, grantees will be asked to evaluate the project's accomplishments in light of its original goals. The final report will include an accounting of how the grant funds were used and the organization's financial statement for the period of the grant. |
